Want to write a guest post for the SciMoms blog?
SciMoms welcomes guest contributors interested in writing about the facts behind topics of interest to parents, especially when it comes to food, health, safety, and science. Have an idea that you want to turn into a blog post? Email our managing editors Jenny Splitter and Kavin Senapathy (firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com) with the following information:
- Your relevant expertise, if any. (Note: you don’t have to be an expert to write a guest post, just have a good grasp of the evidence.)
- One or two relevant writing samples if you have them.
- Your idea, and why it would be valuable or interesting to SciMoms’ readers (Keep in mind that our audience ranges from our kids’ classmates’ parents to scientists, farmers, educators, aunts, uncles, and more.)
We represent diverse parenting styles and worldviews. Please read through some of our posts to familiarize yourself with our site and our style(s) to get an idea of what we cover and how we cover it.
At the moment, SciMoms is entirely self-funded. We’re working on means for fundraising and establishing a budget to pay guest bloggers. For now, we can only offer our appreciation and platform. Note that while some of us are paid freelance writers at other outlets, all of the SciMoms volunteer our time to help advance our mission of arming parents with the tools to separate what’s credible from the hype.
